San Bernardino police shoots at man armed with knife during sex assault investigation

Shots were fired by police officers Friday night while responding to a sexual assault case in San Bernardino, according to law enforcement.

Officers were called to the 2000 block of Jubilee Court on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. for a report of a sexual assault against a minor, according to the San Bernardino Police Department. There, the suspect in the case armed himself with a knife, leading to officers opening fire.

The police department did not say if the armed man lunged at officers with the knife. It’s unclear if he was struck by gunfire.
